Does that plugin have access to Mojang's database? No. It likely logs the IP of players, turns your server into offline mode when sessions are down, and only allows users to connect when their IP corresponding to their name.

You don't even know what the name of the plugin is, besides I said i wonder if it works. I didn't say it would.

On my server, we made a plugin that references our own IP and UUID database that we've kept since we've opened. If the IP of a player that is logging in matches the IP of a player in our database, we will pull their corresponding UUID and as a result they can log in. Of course, if a player is using a new IP, they won't be able to log in, or if they've never played before, they won't be able to log in.

Either way, this system is now allowing my server to have 56 players online at 1:30AM (which is only 20 below my typical average playercount during the day)
