Hello, ever since I got my new PC, when I tried to record with Mirillis Action on Minecraft (playing in 1920x1080) my frames goes from 600-800 to 100 and it looks so choppy (while playing & looking at the recording).

When I got frustrated with it I changed my Screen Resolution to 1280x720 and now I get over 300FPS while recording which makes everything smooth. But recently I started to dislike the fact that everything doesn't look High Quality when uploading videos and want to go back to 1920x1080 but I don't want my videos and gameplay to look so laggy.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm tired of 1280x720.

OS: Windows 10
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40 GHz
RAM: 8GB
RAM allocated to Minecraft: 4GB
Monitor connected to the GPU via HDMI Cable

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Use bandicam, doesn't take that much power. 100 frames isn't bad at all I record at 20-40 Kappa

You probably need more ram, maybe try overclocking your cpu also, but recording lowers your fps a lot,
When I'm in 1280x720, my frames only drop around 100 or so. I see people with GTX 970's recording in 1080p with 200 frames or so. I'm on a 1070 I don't see why my frames drop from 800 to 100 like wtf?

Few things that helped me.
Check all drivers updated
Try different settings (1080p 30fps) etc
Try different encodings
1. Already done so many times
2. Already tried. I even tried 720p
3. Already tried with Mirillis Action. Also tried to use OBS but that makes my frames worse.

It’s your ram than, recording chews it, 8gb for your system is pretty much the only bottle neck you have

Don’t play full screen lol, leave it windowed, Minecraft has never been a game that’s liked recording when full screened, I’ve always had problems doing it myself
Actually my frames drop too when I'm in windowed too (maximized).
