Hi,

It has been quite some time since I left Minecraft. Minecraft was one of my favourite games to play when I was younger. It was amazing to relive those moments recently but having done so I wanted to leave a mark on Minecraft history and my life before moving on with my life. This was the reason why I created Minecraft Homepage, a time capsule that will be hosted and untouched for the next 10 years.

Minecraft Homepage is a grid 10,000 individual blocks of sides 10px by 10px. Each block can be filled with any Minecraft texture or your own player skin head. Once the 10,000 blocks are filled, the backend will close automatically and the website will be untouched for the next 10 years. Use this opportunity to make a memory for your Minecraft adventures.

Hover
When you hover over your block, a text appears, designed to mimic Minecraft's items descriptions. You can set whatever text you want. Some users set their username, while others set their server's name.

Block when hovered​

Click
When you click on your block, you will be redirected to a URL that you can set. You may leave this blank if you do not have any URLs to redirect to. You can put your server URL if you wish.

Getting a block
This is an exclusive site with limited blocks. Each individual block is currently sold at $10. To purchase, simply click on an empty block in the grid and you will be redirected with your block coordinates. You will be prompted to key in your desired block texture, block text and block URL. Checkout page is secured and handled by Stripe Inc.

Your block will appear in the grid within a few hours. If you would like to get multiple blocks to design a pattern or logo, simply purchase multiple times or you may contact me for a custom transaction.

Why you should get a block
This might be the most valuable block you will ever place in Minecraft and it will remain in the internet history for the next 10 years.

Also, I think that the boxes have been a little too small. Does the website have a decent traffic or what? What is the benefits of buying a block on this website?

BTW, nice unique idea. If this website ever got their spots filled, that's a total of $100,000.

I have edited the thread accordingly. Thank you. As the website is relatively new, our traffic is still unstable. We have not announced this website aside from Spigot and MC-Market. We are looking for early adopters. This website has a high tendency to go viral on social media sites such as Reddit and it will remain online for the next ten years. A simple and fun investment for yourself or your server.

The colors he is talking about is the colors of the thread, which is like a grayish.

On the dark theme, well, the theme is dark and so the gray is camouflage to the dark and therefor, we can't see the text in the OP.

There's 10,000 blocks and you're selling each block for $10?

I just think that's a bit expensive, the chance of them seeing our block out of all the others is extremely rare.. if I did this, I'd charge like $1/block. This is just my opinion, regardless of the 10 years thing.

Also, how will people find the site? Like are you guys even advertising it or do you think people will just go to the site because of the somewhat OG domain?

Honestly this website is the most unique idea I have seen, but I agree that the block prices should be reduced to $1 - $5.

seems a bit scummy to make people pay for it. If it's $10 you won't fill it up by the end of the ten years because people won't even be able to see themselves... If you are going to make people pay for it at least make it $1 for 1 block
