Honestly, can EVERYONE STOP SELLING SHARED HOSTING. I know that the 10,000 Minecraft Hosting accounts on MCM cannot be selling legit hosting, we know it's shared, and to be honest, it annoys the heck out of me. Literally, the hosting scene has gone to crap because of the crazy amount of supply that's driven the market to low-quality and unprofessional marketers who are just in it to make a quick buck of a 12-year-old. I mean I actually saw one service that voids your refund policy for using a custom jar. Like what's the point of hosting anything other than a 12 person SMP on there.


Okay that concludes my rant, I'm stopping inb4 I offend some little kid.

Greatly said and should be taken to consideration. Every person that is just trying to make a quick buck should just stop. All the lies they tell just come back to haunt them. But unlike you I don't care if i offend a 12 year old that is running a hosting company to make money also. It's because of those same people that has driven it to the ground. Stop trying to milk that Market. THERE IS NO MORE MILK. Stop.

I believe Hosting is dead as a whole. I mean look at the prices people are selling dedi's now. I showed my dad, and he was really surprised they could sell them for such a low price.

You can sell anything as long as you're fine with $2.00 profits. But oh yeah, most of the cheap dedicateds are from reselling hosting w/ 2010 hardware that's probably not even using ECC RAM and uses like an i3 but call's it a Xeon.

Sadly I've realized that, that's how companies can get away with voiding warranties for changing the provided .jar file, LOL.

I don't believe they will take down the hosting sub forum because of the following reasons:
1.Minecraft is basically a multiplayer only game at the moment(people barely play singleplayer)
2.Hostings provide the 'cheap' servers to milk your pockets and then their service suck.
3. People want money, Money hungry and don't see that they are also scammers.

I agree, there are also too many kids setting up a server and expecting to get $100 worth of donations without there server being unique or different from any other server at all.
