Reason most people say minecraft is "dead", is because they're growing out of it. Just like most of the things you played with as a kid, you grew out of it. You used to play with plastic toy cars as a 5 year old. But soon enough, you grew out of it. It's not the game that's dying. It's your love for the game that's dying.

This is a meme thread but also debating on the topic of how people say minecraft is dead when it's not exactly dying (Might be somewhat dying but it's slowly). The only thing that isn't going well is the updates since lots of people use 1.8 still (Around 50% I believe it was).
You're a moron. How can an inanimate object, or idea, die. Don't use literally when it isn't literal.
There are millions of people who still play minecraft. If you think a million isn't a lot, then that's what you think. Other people might think that's a TON. Another reason why you might think it's dying, is because of the community. And yes, the community is becoming more toxic. "Is minecraft dying?", that's mostly an opinion based question.
Not all minecraft communities are toxic, just this one is particular because the thing that unites everyone here is money. And as the Buddha said, greed is the root of all evil!
How is the game dying when we still make profit from selling stuff from Minecraft? It is not even close to be called a "dead" game. However, I do agree that I liked the community in 2013 way more than it is today.
