Hey, my name is Matthew Byrne and I grew up with an autistic brother.

My goal is to make a Minecraft Server for autistic kids to interact and play Minecraft together.

The money will be put into Graphics, Server Hosting and things that would make the server a better place.

The sooner the funds come the sooner the server will start.

This means so much to me because I grew up with playing games with an autistic brother. He would always get bullied for it and its just not fair so the best way to do it is for autistic kids interact with the same type of kids.

Why must you isolate 'autistic' kids from the rest of the minecraft community? Why shouldn't they be able to play with everyone else?

Its going to be your regular survival server with whitelist :)[DOUBLEPOST=1458671357][/DOUBLEPOST]
So you'd have to apply to play the server just to confirm that you're autistic and not some randy that wants to torture kids playing on it? Mad work.
Thats true, another option would be staff banning them?

Problem is if you don't whitelist it the bullies will come anyways. + Then you have have strict guidelines people don't adhere to them, a banishment must be enforced.

I don't see why this needs to be so huge. If you couldn't already tell Minecraft is referred to as AutismCraft by many people. If this is a legit idea you should just get a shared server for like $5 a month for just you, your brother, and maybe a couple friends, as this is never going to grow popularity-wise.[DOUBLEPOST=1458678402][/DOUBLEPOST]Checking out the gofundme site, you could see that
He would always get bullied for it and its just not fair
what is not fair is that you feel that there needs to be a server strictly for autistic people.

I don't understand this, as if he is in fact on a server, they don't see him nor know him so why would he be bullied let alone know that he was even had any form of Autism. I have friends who have it (minor, does not effect a lot at all) and when they play Minecraft they are 100% ok and seem normal, when I would tell people they always said that they never knew, not to mention they never treated them differently because of it. In my honest opinion, this would make the bulling worse as it would set a target point for the people who do pick on them. If they don't say anything about it, and play on a normal server, no one would ever know. Your server idea would cause way more harm than good.

Why would you hold back autistic kids from the world? One of the problems people have with disabilities in this world today is because it's not as prevalent in our culture, it's seen as "bad." Why instead create a community with strict server and chat rules for all to interact in a bully-free community, benefiting not only people with autism, but a majority of disabled and younger kids who don't want/need to be exposed to the bullying/toxicity.
