Minecraft server suggestions

Hello,

So as requested (and declined/postponed) many times, we have finally decided to start planning a official MC-Market Minecraft server.
I'm creating this thread to get some suggestions from you guys on what you'd like to see.

Things like, what gamemode should it be? How should it be affiliated with MC-Market? What ranks would you like to see on it? etc.

More suggestion threads or maybe even a questionnaire would be created regarding this. This is just a thread to get rough ideas and a sketch of what you'd like to see.

I'm looking forward to it and I'm definitely excited

This is what I had in mind. But I think it would be much better to start a server with a single game mode and build from there as we grow.

Those are the opinions I'm trying to get out of this thread.

In my opinion, you should have something to cater to the whole audience. Assumptions coming from seeing what most of the ranks on accounts bought and sold tell me these are your top servers (in no order):
- Factions
- HCF
- SG
- Minigames (Mineplex/Hypixel Specifically)
- Creative

The servers will profit by making it slightly pay to win. Don't pull the "oh we don't want to make it pay to win" BS because 90% of 500+ player servers are P2W.

We seriously don't want to do this. From what was suggested so far inside the admin team is that the server won't have any kind of donation system. All ranks will be synced with our forum.

I think you'd need network operators and a lot of network communication, not sysadmins for DDoS attacks. Or just money to hire someone to do that for you.

Typo, I use a mobile device and type relatively quickly. I wouldn't call that a spelling mistake if in previous responses it's been spelt as it should. Unfortunately, auto correct and mobile phone typing is only useful to some extent. I don't bother proof read here either - half of my useful content is deleted anyway so that staff can repeat my response.

I'm bumping this thread as we're looking for more opinions. We have slowly started discussing things within the admin team.

Whatever gamemode you decide on, I have an idea. People, like developers, can buy a certain perk to host a mini server on the main server. With this, they are allowed 5 plugins of their choice. This would allow developers to showcase their plugins, giving potential buyers an in-game look at what they can do.

I would want donations rank from the forums, to become some kind of status on the server. Premium and Supreme.
Minigames, definitely.
And a photo area? For people to take pictures with OGs.
Maybe have some Server Setup people from the forums to show off their skills?

Right now, what me and tjrgg came up with(mainly rocket) was to build a base server, like SMP, and add features and plugins from what the community requests.

Sorry for typing this if it's been said, I'm too lazy to read all the comments, but I believe that they should link both MCM to this server so that if you have premium here you get premium there but add in ranks in-between which you can only get there. Example it could go: Donor, Premium, Insert Name Here, Supreme, Banter Name.
