I'm selling my server I started roughly 3 months ago. It's a pretty healthy server at a stable state right now with a dedicated community. The server has an average of 8 players during the afternoon and occasionally peaks at 10-12. We also have a community Discord with 31 current users. The main purpose of the server is to be laid back SMP with a strong social influence. Players are encouraged to hang out, roleplay, etc. We feature plugins like Marriage and the like to make the server feel more lively. In the past 3 months the server has been able to pay it's costs solely on donations without any issue, we've also hit our monthly goal of $50 every time. The costs include the domain which is $12~/yr and the server itself which is $25~/mo. The server currently runs on a 16gb dedicated machine.
I've put days into this server through designing it to ensure the players enjoyment and sorting out some critical bugs. There is plenty of room to expand the community and develop new financial plans to really make the money start coming in, I'd just rather pass it on to someone else and focus on other things.
