On behalf of the MineFury administration team, I am posting here to offer developer positions on our minecraft network. Although the server is currently in early planning stages, we have unique ideas that are very different from many Minecraft servers currently operating. Details of the position are located below.

For this position, we are hiring developers from all programming languages to work together and code for MineFury. Because of this, there are different qualifications for each kind of developer that is applying:

Web Developer:
- Must be 14 years of age or older.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must have access to Slack for team communication (can be installed on all platforms, including access via web browser)
- Must be able to work with others.
- Must have access to GitHub (used to manage projects in private repositories)
- Must have thorough knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Must be fluent in database programming (MySQL, SQLite, etc.)
- Must be able to meet flexible deadlines established by administrative team.

Plugin (Bukkit/Spigot) Developer:
- Must be 14 years of age or older.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must have access to Slack for team communication (can be installed on all platforms, including access via web browser)
- Must be able to work with others.
- Must have access to GitHub (used to manage projects in private repositories)
- Must have thorough knowledge of the Bukkit/Spigot API.
- Must be fluent in database programming (MySQL, SQLite, etc.)
- Must be fluent in Java programming.
- Must be able to meet flexible deadlines established by administrative team.

Web developers will be working on web-end panels connecting to the server, and responding to plugins that the plugin developers will be creating. This is, but is not limited to, statistics, in-game currency, player information, banning information, live maps, and any other game to website interfaces needed.

Plugin developers will be working on custom gamemodes that will be added to the server, as well as network utilities and core functions that will be implemented server-wide. This is, but not limited to, server currency, minigames, server-end integration with the website, general core commands, routine plugin updates, API creation/utilization, and client compatibility.

For being a dedicated developer for MineFury, you will be paid in the form of the following:

- Up to 4GB of RAM Minecraft Server hosted on secure dedicated server
- Free Webhosting
- Up to 2GB of RAM Linux VPS (CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian, etc.)

Estimated Weekly Hours: 10-15 hours

We thank you for taking the time to read this request, and I hope that you consider this opportunity!

No hourly pay? Banter.
Thank you for the feedback, but we are currently working with what we can spare in the very early stages of the network. At some point, that might be an option, but there is no reason to call it "Banter".

The retail value of the items that we are offering clearly demonstrate a monthly commitment to applicants and surpass the performance + quality of other hosting services.

Well, just to let you know if you're wanting an experienced and knowledgeable programmer then you'd want to supply a hourly rate or per-project pay basis. However, if not, you're in the right place; there's lots of young developers here who can code small simple snippets. In addition, if you're thinking you're going to hit a high player base then you'd want each plugin to be optimized, furthermore meaning an inexperienced developer would have no clue how to, and let's face it, probably doesn't know what the definition of 'optimize' is.

Most programmers do not want to be paid in servers.
Servers don't pay the bills or put food on the table.

Imagine if all companies paid in servers...

We understand that completely, but as I stated earlier, we are just starting out. I understand that it does not provide for the personal life of applicants, but this is all we can offer at this point. We believe that, by offering servers/VPSs, we can allow applicants to experience services that they would otherwise not have money to pay and/or take the place of what they are currently using (thus saving money).

Thanks for the feedback though! I'll be sure to take all of this into consideration in future posts.

Most developers have a lot of $$$ due to the high demand of plugins. I for one, already have a dedicated server so I have no need of a extra 4gb server. Additionally a lot of developers work on their localhost servers, therefore why would they need your server?

Again, I understand the reasons that monetary pay is requested for all developers, but I am currently going off of hardware that I already own. This thread was meant to request developers, not become an argument about how "money is the most necessary" for them. If you could all please keep your personal opinions to yourself and allow this thread to just serve its purpose regardless, that would be great.

How do you expect me to dedicate my time in return of a server? With the money i make from working with other servers in 2 hours i can buy a 4gig server. This isnt 2013 anymore custom plugins cost time and money. If you dont have the money you wont get anything good.
What servers do you work for?

It doesnt matter im not one to brag about who i pay for or how much i get paid. Theres no point in telling you who i work for. The op needs to realize askign people to use their time to make plugins for free is ridiculous.
Thats what they all say.

Don't even bother with this kid, he's UltimatelyElite's alt. Ajdin still waiting on a ban.
Please keep replies relevant to the thread... So if you could take user accusations out of here, that would be great :)[DOUBLEPOST=1466973718][/DOUBLEPOST]I have bumped this thread, but let me make one thing clear. I am not wanting conversation regarding how payment is better in every regard and that MC-Market should only be a paid marketplace. I have contracted multiple developers from this site at no cost, and not just a vouch copy. Actual work completed. Therefore, while I respect your opinions, I would like to keep this thread on track and without irrelevant banter in regards to development.
