So i was playing around faking proof in photoshop and here we go



Take this as note and check account before buying using different ways (such as asking Seller to go on Different servers)

Yeah, pretty easy to do if you know Photoshop. Screenshot on Mineplex > Photoshop > Black box where chat would be > Opacity 55% > Download Texture pack font > Text tool > Write " 0 <username> Name Here - McM Proof" > Recolor text > Save as JPG.

Best way to get people to see if people are scamming is to:
Check if the username is actually valid and is capitalized correctly as they may forget a capital
and if that seems legitimate then:
Ask them to join a server with you.
Any proof is easily faked now even launchers which is a pain for anyone searching for accounts or buying accounts from 'shady' dealers :/

Btw I've seen before that this doesn't even need to be done with Photoshop, just a knowledge with ingame command blocks, scoreboard commands and chat generating.

Yep that too :/ Some servers may have a prefix to any nickname like '~' or '#' showing that it's a nick but you need to be careful with any proof provided and even if the proof is legitimate, doesn't mean they own the account fully or are not going to scam you out of the account last second.

Sus, that's a setting in essentials. Can be deleted though.

Yeah that is one issue but then again it's the one reason why people use well known minigame servers/servers without nickname for proof of accounts ;P Only way to really know if it is real on a server with nickname enabled is if they provide the proof themself of running /realname, if the server has the chat plugin to allow hovering over the name to view the stats and name of the player or it's the server you asked them to get on.

But still there's issues with everywhere and even if a verification server was around and it said 'This account name is [Insertname here] and their forum name is [Insert forum name here] ' that could be photoshopped and/or recreated so yeah :/

Yep and ontop of that it only takes about 2 minutes to sort out the command block to display what you want like so:

Which with a world downloaded map & the correct items in your inventory would look normal to most people
