MineWrath Network Staff Job Descriptions

MineWrath is a Zombie Apocalypse based network that is planning to open Saturday, September 2nd @ 2:00 P.M. EST. Our network is looking for dedicated staff members to fulfill roles in moderation and administration. More information will be discussed through an interview process. Here are the gamemodes we are going to be putting on the server:

Server Administrator: Reports to the Manager

• A Server Administrator is responsible for all the of the server moderator requirements listed below.
  
  
• A Server Administrator must have extensive management and staff experience.
  
  
• A Server Administrator must have a complete understanding of the server’s mechanics.

Payment: None. The Server Administrator is a volunteer position.


Server Moderator: Reports to the Server Administrator

• A Server Moderator is responsible for assisting players throughout their experience on MineWrath. If the player has any questions or concerns you must be ready to respond in the best possible way. If you are unable to respond contact a higher ranking staff member for assistance.
  
  
• A Server Moderator is responsible for attending any staff meetings as directed by the Server Manager.
  
  
• A Server Moderator is responsible for preventing and reporting any suspicious / unacceptable behavior. If you encounter either a player or a staff member disobeying the MineWrath rules and guidelines it is your responsibility to report it to a high ranking staff member and assist as needed.
  
  
• Moderators do as their title implies, moderate. It is your responsibility to maintain the servers players passive and happy. Make sure that the players are enjoying their time on MineWrath.
  
  
• A Server Moderator is responsible for abiding by the rules and policies. Staff members are not immune to them.
  
  
• A Server Moderator is responsible for answering any questions that members have to the best of your ability. If you do not know the answer to a question that a player asks, find out the answer by asking your fellow staff members.
  
  
• A Server Moderator is responsible for giving members their undivided attention.
  
  
• A Server Moderator is responsible for never arguing or acting aggressively toward members. Ensure that you act professional when communicating with members in any way.
  
  
• A Server Moderator is responsible for respecting your fellow players and staff members at all times.
  
  
• A Server Moderator is responsible for using proper and presentable grammar in chat messages, and forum posts.
  
  
• A Server Moderator is responsible for being very active on the forums and the server.

Arkham Network | Moderator | Staff for 4 Months | Averaged 1,000+ players at the time I was staff | If you know me, you’d know that I am an Ex-Moderator on Arkham Network. I got promoted to Helper on October 1st of 2016 and got promoted to Moderator on November 12th of 2016. Unfortunately, on December 26th, 2016, I was demoted because of a silly joke I made which was a big mistake, and I learned from it. To prove that I learned from my mistake, I was given the opportunity to come back as a Trial on January 8th, but I had to resign on February 1st because I needed to focus more on school.

Spoiler: Good-Gaming MC (300+ Players)

Good-Gaming MC | Helper | Staff for 1 Month | Averaged 100+ players at the time I was staff | I actually got staff on GGMC a day before I got staff on Arkham. I was staff on both Arkham and GGMC at the same time for around a month, and during that month I had to make a decision. Which server will I focus on? As you can probably tell, I chose Arkham, because it had a bigger player base.

Spoiler: Enchanted Network (20+ Players)

Enchanted Network | Admin/Head-Admin | Staff for 3 Months | Averaged 20+ players at the time I was staff | Before the server even opened, I was offered this position by one of my good friends. The staff team consisted of a few Ex-Arkham staff members as well as some pretty talented and professional players. This is the first staff experience I had that actually helped me gain more knowledge regarding moderating a community. Unfortunately, the Owner left and a new one came in. I resigned because I was always in disagreement with this Owner’s decisions.

Spoiler: Mine-Arc (5-10 Players)

Mine-Arc | Head of Staff | Staff for 2 Months | Averaged 10-15 players at the time I was staff | Just like Enchanted Network before the server opened I was offered this position by another one of my great friends. I don’t have much to say about this server besides the fact that this also shut down because of financial reasons

Are you able to do all of the tasks listed in the job description?:
Not only am I able to perform every listed task, but I have the capability of exceeding such tasks! Here are some other things that I am able to do with ease!

As of right now, I am currently a Moderator on Gold-Network, but it is under development. This means that I am currently free for any job as I don't have the power to offer any assistance with development.
Why do you want to work for MineWrath?:​

My biggest motivation to apply for the staff team is my passion for learning. My number one goal is to gain more knowledge about moderating communities and even other life lessons in general. During my past staff experiences, especially at Arkham, I have gained a lot of knowledge. Whether it’d be things like how to properly catch a hacker or even simple life lessons.

Another reason why I wanted to be staff on MineWrath is to meet new people. I always love meeting new people and making new friends. Many people call me an extrovert, which means I am a very outgoing person. One of my most favorite parts of being staff are the new friends I make along the way because some of the friends I’ve made are still my friends to this day

Finally, the final reason why I was propelled to apply for staff here at MineWrath was to build my patience. Like I’ve stated above, I have high patience levels but there’s still room for improvement. I feel like patience is VERY important in everyday life which is why I want to build it the most I can.​

What makes you unique?:

Spoiler: Patience

As everyone says, “Patience is key”, and they aren’t lying when they say that. Patience is a factor that can really make or break the chances of a person getting on the staff team. Fortunately for me (and you), I am a very patient being. I am able to deal with the feisty ones with ease. No matter how tough or soft, angry or sad someone can be, I am able to deal with the situation in a mature manner. Let me provide you with an example of how I can truly implement this while carrying out my staff duties. Let’s say someone did not know where to apply for staff, and they came to me for help. After giving them detailed instructions, they respond with “I don’t get it”. I understand this can be very frustrating, but it takes patience to deal with problems like these. During my past staff experiences I’ve encountered many situations like these and because of that, I was able to build my patience.

Spoiler: Maturity

Maturity is yet another key trait that a staff member is required to have in order to be a good contribution to the community, at least in my opinion. Fortunately for me, I am able to act my age which is a very good attribute to have when applying for any job or even voluntary work. Being mature includes things like using proper grammar within the chat, communication skills, being responsible for your own actions, and simply just acting your own age.

Spoiler: Keeping my Cool

This characteristic is a sub-asset to patience but is still a very good thing to have. In my past staff experiences, I have seen staff get demoted for the anger management issues. As for me? I am able to keep my rude words and anger to myself.

Spoiler: Time Management & Prioritization

I am able to complete my school work while setting aside a good chunk of time for your server. Along with that, I am able to prioritize things. One overused example is school over athletics. Unless if you are a guaranteed pro athlete, school is what’s going to get you where you want in life. I have taken note of that and applied it to my everyday. As much as I love playing sports, I have to realize that school is much more important

This “strength” is classified as one of the weaker ones but it still plays a role. Communities want people who are one-hundred and ten percent dedicated to it and I am willing to give just that. Before, during, and after the school year I am able to dedicate more than enough time to assist those who are in need

Spoiler: Laid Back/Outgoing

During my past staff experiences I have been known to be a chill and laid back staff member. This does not mean I do not warn/mute people for spam even though they have clearly broken the rule, but I am just a fun guy to talk to. Like I have stated above, I am very friendly and outgoing and I am able to keep a conversation going. Although this does not play a massive role whilst being a staff member, it definitely plays one.

Everyone knows the golden rule, “treat others the way you want to be treated”. I have and always will abide by this rule. If I have something rude to say about/towards someone, I won’t say it. My first goal whenever I meet someone is to give a very good first impression of myself, and paying respect is one way I can do so

When I am given even the smallest task, I am still very committed to it. I put my best effort into everything I do, whether it’d be sports or moderating a community like this one.

Spoiler: Writing Skills

During my staff experience at the Arkham Network, my ability to write well has been tested a numerous amount of times. I was given the chance to write documents for specific game modes such as prison and skyblock as well as documents for smaller minigames. It took a lot of effort to complete these guides and documents but it paid off in the end. As you can hopefully tell just from reading this application, my writing skills are not as bad as I can even describe a few years ago. Even though I have developed more skills over the past few years, there is still more room for improvement and I am hoping to further fill in the room by gaining more knowledge from this community

Spoiler: Fast Typing

Although this may be the least important skill on this list, it is still somewhat useful. I have a typing speed of about 85-90 WPM which is above average (the average is 40 WPM). This means I am able to assist players and give answers in a very short period of time.

Last but not least we have “Leadership”. I think I have what it takes to be a leader. I’ve lead my soccer team for the past two seasons as well as leading my school tennis junior varsity

LuckyCraft:

Luckycraft was my first Administration roll and I was a Moderator/Youtuber on this server and it was based around Prisons. The server never released due to lack of funds although it had a Discord with 200 players. This gave me my first taste of staff and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience.

IrisCraft-

On this server I as Admin and it reached 100+ prime time. This was a server based on role play and my job was to administrate the server. I also dealt with some simple Financing on this job.

Frisky Realms-

Frisky Realms was a skyblock server hoping to change into a network. It reached 200 players sotw and recieved $1000 in donations in the first week. I was a co-owner on this server for 6 months and this is were I learn't and experienced my best staff experience.

There is a plethora of unsuccessful servers I was staff on, If you would like proof of this or anything else above please say so.

Are you currently a staff position on any other server, or have any conflicting jobs? No I am not staff on any other server, although I do own a small business removing Adware or Malware from PC's. This only takes around a hour and a half out of my day so it shouldn't impact my activity.

Why do you want to work for MineWrath?: To be honest there wasn't that much detail about the server in this thread, but what instantly attracted me was how professional and neat everything looked. Your logo seems sharp and I am very intrigued in the idea of a 'Zombie Apocalypse' theme.

What makes you unique?: I stand out from other participants due to my charisma, activeness and Leadership roles. Also, my experience speaks for itself and I feel like I would be an asset to your team!

Please list the times you are most active: Well since I'm on summer holiday right now, I'm almost active at all times.

Please list your previous management/administration experiences: My experience in moderation (bigger servers) include Guildcraft (around 1000playes), randomcraft (around 500 players) and the ingot (around 100-200players). On this server, I was also head-of applications. On to my administration experience; I've been admin on servers like iDeactivateMC (around 300 players) and admin on elytraMC (around 100players) however, I did all the staff management here.

Are you able to do all of the tasks listed in the job description?: Indeed.

Are you currently a staff position on any other server, or have any conflicting jobs? Nope, currently looking for a server to dedicate my time towards.

Why do you want to work for MineWrath?: It looks unique and I know the owner is very mature and serious about the project, unlike past servers I've been looking in to.

What makes you unique?: Well, I don't give up. I keep working hard and ensuring to help those who need help. I also try my best to interact with players, allowing them to have the best server experience because personally, I believe in my past experiences, I think that if you're more friendly and talkative to the players, more players will have a better time and will trust you.

Just a future tip for you. You should probably state proof of you working for these large servers as getting an Administration job on a 300 players server isn't as easy. Good luck though.

My most active days would be: Mostly any day of the week besides Sunday and Saturday. I am also gone around 5-11PM on Wednesday and Friday. Saturday is always random for me as I have no clue if I am doing something that day. Also, that school is going to be starting soon, I have no clue what my schedule would be.

Please list your previous management/administration experiences:
I am currently management for a build team and staff manager for a small server which will probably be discontinued soon. I also am currently staff in a big community with servers on a lot of games: CS:GO, GMod, Battlefield, etc... They have also trained me to be professional while handling situations.

Yes, I am able to do all the tasks listed above.

Are you currently a staff position on any other server, or have any conflicting jobs?
I am currently a manager for a build team and staff manager for another server as I have stated above. I don't think this will get in the way of me adminning on the server.

Why do you want to work for MineWrath?:
I have been looking for a well-organized server to become staff on and dedicate my time to make that server clean of those pesky rule breakers and friendly for all the community members. I am also looking for experience on a server.

What makes you unique?:
I can't say anything really makes me unique or different from other players, but I can promise you that I will be able to dedicate most of my time towards your server to make it an enjoyable time on the server for all players.

was not nice to me and made fun of me.
