Are minigames still popular now?
I’m looking to open up a Minigames network with following like a Prisons server but I’m wondering if it’s worth the time the budget for marketing can range from 3000-6000. Im just wondering if it’s still worth it. For example here is one of the minigames
Game Idea: Crystal Guardians
Concept: In Crystal Guardians, players are divided into teams, each tasked with protecting their own crystal while attempting to destroy the crystals of opposing teams. To make the game more engaging and attract players, you can add various features and mechanics that offer strategic depth and replay value.
Key Features:
Dynamic Maps: Design maps with multiple levels, hidden paths, and destructible environments. This will provide players with diverse gameplay experiences and encourage them to explore different strategies.
Resource Gathering and Crafting: Introduce resources scattered throughout the map that players can collect to craft weapons, armor, traps, and other items to enhance their team's defenses and offensive capabilities.
Unique Classes: Offer different classes or roles for players to choose from, each with its own abilities and playstyle. Examples include warriors, archers, mages, and engineers. Encourage players to form balanced teams and combine their strengths for a more strategic game.
Upgrade System: Allow players to upgrade their crystal and base defenses, as well as their personal gear, by spending gathered resources. This will give players a sense of progression and accomplishment.
In-game Events: Introduce random events during matches, such as powerful monsters invading the map or treasure chests appearing with valuable loot. These events can create opportunities for comebacks and encourage players to adapt their strategies.
Daily and Weekly Challenges: Implement daily and weekly challenges that reward players for completing specific objectives, such as winning a certain number of matches or destroying a set number of crystals. These challenges will keep players engaged and returning to the game.
Ranking and Rewards: Establish a ranking system based on player performance and provide cosmetic rewards, such as unique skins, emotes, or in-game titles, for reaching higher ranks. This will motivate players to improve their skills and continue playing.
This is just one of many. One of my game designers sent me this. The whole network will be custom coded from scratch
