Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew what software would be used to make a game like https://www.mc-market.org/threads/456219/ - by this i mean, a software that enables you to have free movement

it doesnt have to be that specific software, if anyone knows different softwares that do the same thing then please let me know - i asked the person but was wondering if anyone else knew.

most likely didn't express myself clearly - i know theres applications specifically for macs like xcode which uses swift which I have recently used to get into it.

most games are built using some sort of an engine - would it be unity, cryengine, unreal engine etc.

you can obviously choose not to have an engine but that is rather a bad decision (take minecraft for example and it's unoptimization and the huge amount of issues)
