Hello MCM,

So today a user who i sold an account too contacted me about him being unable to login to the account. Richest already made a post about this to change up the account selling method which i 100% agree on!

I'd highly recommend all users to remove association with your account off MCM just to be on the safe side.

Please everyone agree on Darkone's post.

They've probably got like 3/4 employees specifically told for the past few weeks to focus on MCM and lock accounts

Why that last image? I'm not selling KingMC it has no reason to get locked.
This one I'm not 100% sure about, but replace the Account Association Skin Change with something less obvious that someone is trying to sell an account. Logging into a server which automatically gives a code that you can use on McM to verify ownership, exactly how Enjin does it. The problem with changing skins, is that it's extremely obvious which accounts are being sold based on skin history. If I went on NameMC and looked at an OG with 2 identical skin histories, but classified as different due to changes in the invisible layer, I'd know right away that it's linked to an McM profile and possibly being sold. When the enforcement team investigates an account, it's not impossible that they look at this too. Not via namemc of course, but via their own API

There not allowed accessing other sites when working, only verified sites (google, mojang, bing, minecraft.net) it's like Disney. There not allowed to go snooping around back 2011 when I made a club penguin membership generator by messing up there api and they couldn't find out for months when they knew the code was released. (back in those good old CP dayz.)

I'd assume they're targeting them for being sold, which breaks their ToS, rather than just because they are "OG"

Still, the thing about skin history is very possible, so I guess the suggested change isn't too bad of an idea.

This is honestly the most likely event, if they are actually targeting locking accounts.

Keep in mind the entire concept of selling and trading names and accounts is a pretty blatant violation of Mojang's EULA. They are within their rights to squash people from that activity.

It's also interesting to note they might be attempting to take a moral high ground due to the fact that a lot of these people make these deals where a user basically pays a large sum of money to release a name into the abyss, where snipers are able to capture it.

By law they cannot access other sites to find information to ban/lock accounts, they can only request you to take it down, if they request for MC-Market to get taken down they can just change to a no DMCA hosts.

I'm not saying they're coming around and checking on it. I'm saying that they are probably very aware that it's happening, and simply checking for sweeping changes in IP access and then suspending the accounts or names.
