Not sure if they've been doing this, nor am I aware if you guys know about this, but my account was deleted off Mojang's servers! Don't believe me? Here's proof:

Has anyone else experienced this? And if so, was it resolved by emailing Mojang.

Mind if I ask what was the name of the account?

that's wierd.
your UUID + your account still exists, if it didn't, it wouldn't show up on nameMC.
I'm supposing you still have a TID if you bought it with a gift card and still have the code, so my best suggestion for you is to just email mojang back with the TID to get your account back / "create" it again I guess, since it still exists.
But, yeah. This seems very interesting honestly.
No TID, I trashed it back in 2012 when I didn't know about any of this TID stuff and all.

Mojang doesn't "delete" accounts anymore, they only suspend them. ToonBasic still shows up on Mojang's API, meaning it's still an existing account. "R" was one of the only few accounts to have been deleted completely from Mojang's API.

Did you have security questions by any chance? If you didn't then it's possible someone found your password and deleted the account from within the Mojang page, as suspending an account is not something really Mojang does, as they just lock it.
I had my security questions disabled to snipe a name on Chearful.ninja and when I decided to queue up a different name I got this error when I couldn't validate my credentials anymore. I am not sure what happened here to be honest.

Could be what Darkone said: Someone deleted it by logging in.

or

What happened to me once. I had this random account I would use to test VPNs to see if they work with minecraft. After like 5 different IPs within a short time it was password reset. I reset the password and continued using it for testing. Eventually after having the password reset and repeating the process about 3-5 times I got the exact same message as you're seeing.

Problem is I can't reset my password anymore, I don't receive the recovery email anymore. If I got hacked then I am blaming chearful.ninja's security here to be honest as it had to happen right when I try to queue up another snipe? I for sure don't have a virus on my computer as 1. It's been factory reset clean with a new fresh install of Windows and 2. Nobody has my password, nor is it easy to crack. This is honestly BS.

The account still exists https://api.mojang.com/user/profiles/4e4bb25a024542c09ef5834c4622fa88/names

It's a soft-deletion where it's just that nobody can access it. The account isn't wiped from the database.

Contact Mojang Support providing the TID and you should get it fixed.

Right.

Don't put a TID.

Reply #1 from Mojang: They ask for the TID.

You reply: Explaining that you don't have it and why.

Reply #2 from Mojang: They ask questions regarding the original email, location purchased and where the giftcode was purchased etc.

You reply again: (hopefully you have the correct answers)

And you get your account back.

How long ago was this? Wasn't chearful's sniper database compromised a while ago and someone went around jacking accounts, changing names, and clicking the delete button on accounts?

^

Forgot about that. The name looks familiar to me. The guy who changed names and deleted accounts from Chearful's database did the same thing to MisfitNerd's account.
