Here’s a quick summary of the latest changes to Mojang’s EULA, taken from both the latest blog post on their site and the legal documents at http://www.mojang.com - I’ll leave it to you to decide if they’re reasonable or not.

• All Minecraft videos must be made available entirely free of charge, and if streamed privately, made public and free within 24 hours. (e.g no Patreon shows, YouTube Red shows etc. etc.)

• Pricing for Minecraft related videos/streams must be “appropriate” and the final decision is up to Mojang, not you.

• Minecraft inspired products can’t be produced with the same design in quantities any higher than 20, cannot be mass produced and can’t be worth a total of more than $5000 per calendar year.

• If selling products that meet the requirements above, they must be sold on a website not owned by you that allows Microsoft to independently verify sales information.

• Microsoft are now responsible for all Mojang IP related disputes (illegal activity on realms servers, trouble with the website) and these must go through official court procedures.

• Minecraft videos or livestreams can, under no circumstances, be broadcast via. television.

Now this is just stupid. People that are big on YouTube for minecraft (BajanCanadian,Deadlox,SSundee, etc) are going to be majorly effected by this. YouTube is a job, you can't just "lay them off" like that. Whatever though, not my problem.

I think it means that they can be viewed for free, not charged for money. So youtubers can still make money (i still think they should ban this.. youtubers should play on servers and get people on the servers they actually like! not be paid damn it!)

And this is the reason Minecraft will die... Microsoft is acting like a tyrant.
i'm pretty sure these are standard rules for big companies lol why would they want some stupid kids profiting off their ideas?

As long as they don't charge people to watch their videos on YouTube, they will not be affected at all. And Mojang isn't responsible for "YouTube workers" so this is nothing at all like laying someone off lol.

Incorrect, Microsoft is saying that you cannot make money off the content.

They say very, very clearly on the Mojang website that you are still allowed to monetize your YouTube videos with ads.

You are just not allowed to, say, charge $5 for someone to be able to see your video, and are not allowed to make a DVD filled with Minecraft videos and sell it.

I don't see how that's unfair at all.

What makes you people think you have any right to profit off of someone else's intellectual property? You all should be grateful for what profits Mojang allows you to make currently. If they cracked the whip on the EULA many of you would be SOL. It is, frankly, odd to me that Mojang/Microsoft have allowed so many abuses of their intellectual property to go on this long.
