Mojang stopping name-snipers?

Hey, so there was this name "grasshopper" I tried to get, but it didn't work out as planned. I thought someone just got it before me, but when searching namemc for the name it said it's blocked. Why?

Mojang has been trying to stop snipers for a while. I’m assuming you tried handsniping it and naturally failed, that’s because of
SMKM Chearful , who have good snipers, and also because of literally any EXE sniper that anyone has sitting on their desktop.

Blocking is basically how you snipe names.
