Wanted to know if it happened to anyone else and what can I do.
So about a month ago I lost access to my Minecraft account. The game claims the password is incorrect. I haven't changed it in over half a year. Oh well. I tried to reset the password and waited for the email to arrive. It didn't.
I contacted Mojang support, suspecting my account has been hacked, since I don't get a reset email - probably someone hacked it and changed the email.
It took them 3 weeks to respond back, asking for the TID.
I lost access to the original email many years ago, and the TID with it. I told them that, and provided other info such as year of purchase, original email and payment method.
Another week goes by - another reponse from Mojang:
"Currently we have been unable to verify you for the requested account. We will have to close out our investigation for now since we are unable to verify you".
Bam! Ticket closed.
The first time it happened to me was a few years ago when Mojang went on a rampage locking accounts. I contacted their support, still without the TID, provided them with the information, and they restored my account.
There was zero effort on their end to help me this time. I just opened another support ticket, and will continue to do so until I fall on an agent that actually cares about the users.
Does anybody have any advice? It seems absurd to me that I have been a user for over 10 years, gathering achievements on servers, getting emotionally attached to the account (no kidding) and just like that they have the audacity to block me out.
