For all who don't know how to read Perso-Arabic script, that's pronounced "Moe-Jang".
I used to pronounce it like that, until I realized how it was supposed to be pronounced. Now I'm used to pronouncing it "Moe-Yaang"

The real pronunciation (Swedish) is Moe-yang. however English speaking players would pronounce it Moe-jay-ng since that's how j's are pronounced in English.

Unfortunately, most pronounce it that way these days.
Of course, Gif (not jif) makes mores sense.

2) The word Gift without the T?
The reason some pronounce it "mo-yang" is because a handful of European (and other) countries pronounce their J's as Y's. A good example of this is the German's - they pronounce the name "Jasmin" as "Yasmin". Hence, why they pronounce Mojang as "Moyang".
