So, as some of you may know or may not know, I am an article writer for a Manchester United football based fan forum. I get paid very little money to write articles about football related stuff, but I do it out of passion for football (soccer).
So, I wanted to step up my article writing and was thinking of making my own website where I publish my articles.

This brings me to the reason of why I'm writing this thread. I was just wondering what ways websites make money. I have heard of ads such as Google AdSense but just wondering how it works.

If anyone knows anything about this, I'd love for you to get in touch! DM me on here or discord- PandaZ#0172

If your website has a decent audience you could possibly start merchandise and some football related companies might pay you to mention their name in an article possibly.
Would start looking into that depending on the performance of the website. For now looking into info for ads such as Google AdSense

Man I stopped reading once you said Manchester United hahah[DOUBLEPOST=1593209802][/DOUBLEPOST]Seriously though, don't over do the ads. I'm not sure what's your traffic like but I dont think sacrificing your site's appearance for a little bit of money that you could earn more from working at a Wendy's for a few hours is really worth it

Writing articles about soccer is more of a hobby, the money is a bonus which I'm investing into streaming gear. But I figured that I'll make more and create a bigger name for myself by creating my own website rather than write for someone else

Since you're niche is going to be " football " . You can promote any football related games ? or Instagram pages in turn for payment. IF you have a decent traffic then you can sell football related merch through treespring

Not sure if it would make sense in your specific case, but maybe look into affiliate marketing? Google ads is of course a good way as well, I would definitely do that.
