Currently MCM supports 2 methods of login
JjFHef.png

- Username/Password
- Google OAuth

I think it would be a great idea to support more types of OAuth, such as Discord, Twitter & Github for login.

PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Awesome Idea, One issue though what if your other accounts get hacked. Hacking a Gmail account is kinda hard to hack because it's almost IP Whitelisted to you etc and verified logins. Discord I could have someone's password and login easily.

If you login on a new IP discord sends you an email and requires confirmation. Gmail has some sort of algorithm but discord's is

new IP = deny & send email.

my gmail got hacked by someone in Nigeria... and they managed to get through and access all my accounts on steam, uplay, epic and took £100 out of my PayPal.

It’s happened twice now I can say Google’s protection is becoming below average now.

What the hell kind of situations are you putting yourself in to get hacked twice? Don't you know not to send your passwords to anyone online? Also those Nigerian emails you get offering you millions back for your personal information are fake. Just thought I'd mention that.

Why overcomplicate things? It's not that hard to make an account.

It's the same reason that the world is switching to OAuth verses individual email/password combo's for every site.

For it to be secure, each site needs its own password. By using OAuth, people don't need to make an account, and its unified sign in which can only be leaked by google.
