Hey.

Title pretty much sums it up.

What's the most profitable gamemode for servers?

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Don’t create an MC server for the money. Do what you enjoy and have fun doing.

I agree with prev posts about making servers for the money. The problem is if you seek the money you'll probably be driven to make some questionable decisions. A less "profitable" gamemode would probably make more money than you if you don't play your cards right

The key to a profitable server is two things. One is volume of donation per person (bigger packages) and frequency of donations. The problem is the bigger the volume, usually the smaller the frequency (how often will you get a 100$ donation from the same person).

With that said, I would put my money on servers with long term investment strategies. Simply put, if someone invests more time into your server they are also more likely to increase frequency of donation.

Therefore, gamemodes like prison, skyblock and factions (which are time sinks if done right), will yield the most time investment.

Furthermore, if you factor in things like overhead (that bleeds your profit), something like a minigames server will not only be a lot of money to develop, but doesn't always guarantee a high time investment.

The key thing to note, however, is that minigames are scaleable, and therefore can lead to higher profits, but with considerably more work.

tldr; servers that are easy to develop that make players sink substantial time and effort into will generate the most profit.

Never said I was doing it for the money. I was just curious.
