I think it is because Doge is consistently nice to everyone and almost never makes enemies, and has never scammed or come close to scamming anyone on this website, unlike most other people.

Everyone likes Doge, outside of the people who were mad at him over the captcha thingy.

That's why he should be a member of staff. :)

Never trust someone you can't beat up IRL. So many "trusted members" have been banned for scamming even with all their rep.
