Hello,
My name is Ben. I am a rising college junior majoring in Computer Science.

Introduction and Background
Like many of you, I have played Minecraft for a long time. My playtime has dwindled over the last few years for many reasons, although I do come back to the game occasionally. Minecraft was what originally helped spawn my fascination with computer science. Back in 2015, I started the now 7 year journey of learning the Java programming language and as time passed and I grew older, my competency with the language and other tools increased, along with the quality of the Minecraft server plugins I was developing. Most of my work at that time was oriented towards building my own servers and networks. I rarely crafted plugins for other administrators but when I did, it was always for free (younger me had no business sense whatsoever). Consequently, I have sat on a lot of server plugin code.

This summer, I had the idea of starting up one of my old servers for reasons I can only chalk up to nostalgia. In doing so, I realized that the quality of my old work was better than I had remembered; I have spent the last several weeks patching up some of the rough spots and applying numerous improvements to the overall codebase. These improvements include PostgresSQL integration for managing cross-server player data and information (roles, currency, individual server counts, etc.) and revising my completely custom CTF-style minigame, DTC, and optimized the rest of the servers with PaperMC (replacing Spigot).

To get to the point, after much tinkering, I think I at least have a decent server on my hands now. The problem is that I have spent a few years away from the community and I do not have the skills to run a minecraft server network from a community, management, or advertising perspective. To illustrate, last weekend, I put the server on a few lists just to gauge how it would perform under some stress (it did well) but the lists that once worked incredibly well for gaining a small player-base are no longer nearly as efficacious.

So now, I am faced with a few options. I could scrap the whole network side of the project and just allocate my resources to running a small, community-driven SMP (essentially, such a community would entail just my friends and acquaintances) or I could partner with someone experienced in all of the areas I am not and launch a larger-scale project with the resources I have today.

The latter of the two options requires your help (assuming you are the person I'm looking for). If I were to take this route, I would need someone to both believe in the server and dedicate some time in assisting me continue to build it (both from proprietary and community aspects). Basically, I am looking for a manager who would be willing to partner with myself on the project. Back in the days I was playing Minecraft frequently, they typically called such a role "Co-Owner," although I understand that this is not a professional title. I just wanted to make sure my intention was clear.

The Network
The server is called Mineblitz.

The whole Network, as it currently stands, is composed of a Lobby server, DTC minigame server, and a very basic Semi-Vanilla Survival server. All of the roles, currency, player-stats, VIP particles, Core menus, etc. are custom. The main Lobby plugin is also entirely custom.

To clarify, The DTC minigame is a kit-based two-team PVP gamemode where the objective lies in destroying 10 enemy core blocks; it has configurable, cycled maps and full integration with my custom cross-server Core plugin. It is fairly similar to CTF and vaguely similar to Bed Wars. Variations of this gamemode, often titled DTW, do exist on some other servers (if you remember the original MineHut Warzone, it is quite similar to that old gamemode) but the entirety of my DTC minigame's codebase is custom. Its code has only existed and run on my servers. Moreover, everything proprietary on the server has been written by only me.

Other servers such as the experimental server also exist, but they are not publicly accessible. Note, the server is online and stable on its current hardware.

To reiterate some of the above, I am interested in collaborating with a partner on this project. If you're interested, experience in advertising and community management are strongly recommended, since these two elements are my main weaknesses. I will openly admit that a big motivation behind this project is to grow the server into profitability through a rank system. Compensation in this partnership would include splitting the profit we do make (evenly). I am also willing to put some money down in order to fund server resources (marketing). We do not have a robust staff team. The only other person significantly involved with this project is a personal friend and his role will eventually involve helping run the staff team we build in the future.

Please reply with your contact information (email and/or Discord) if you're interested in talking! I have been lurking on these forums for a few weeks now trying to get a feel for how this community does business. Please let me know if you have any constructive critiques of my method or if this listing is in the wrong location on the McMarket forums. Hopefully, I have communicated everything well.

Thank you,
Ben
