No it's not possible , try to do it

You can edit the messaging format in essentials locale, I've done it on multiple occasions.

msgFormat=&6[&c{0}\&6 -> &c{1}&6] &r{2}

Dude I have contacted authors on ircchat and asking to help me and it's not possible you can't have sender and target in each message , it's just not possible.
If you get it done via essentials imma pay you 100$ mark my words.

Turns out you were right. There is only one format for messaing, for both sending and receiving messages. The closest i got was:
