Hello!

So we all know that McM recently banned selling accounts on here.
But, i think i can solve this problem!
I have thought of a new system that would make scamming go to 0% and make people on here much more happy.

Here is what i have in mind!

Details:

This system would be for selling alternate accounts, OGs, etc.
The way the system would work is, when someone wants to sell the account, they make a post about it, etc.

But under the thread details (when a user is making a post)
it would have a "fill in the blank".
What you would have to fill in is, the username/email and password for the account you are selling.

OR

If you are selling a ton of alts, you can click the "mass account" button and it has the option to copy and paste a ton of username:passwords.

What this does is so when a player buys the account (there could be a buy now button, where a player would have to pay), MCM would send an auto message to the player that bought the account, and this message would include the details for the account(s), in which the seller entered in the thread details. The ONLY problem with this system is, knowing whether or not the seller is entering correct account info in the details. I think with some good work, MCM could have a system that checks the accounts for authenticity.

This system for selling accounts would fix all the problems MCM has with scamming, and would also attract a lot more members and bring back the ones that left because of MCM banning account selling.

I know what you are thinking though.
"No way players will feel comfortable putting in the account info"
Well, when a player does this, no one can see the account info.
The only reason players would enter the account info is so it can be sent to the person that buys it.

DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT TRYING TO GET BANNED ON HERE FOR "SUPPORTING SELLING ALTS" OR SOMETHING. I AM SIMPLY PROVIDING A GOOD SUGGESTION FOR MCM.

Well if the staff vote is anything to go by. They are coming back anyway. Only 1 person voted against it.

Wrong.
I don't want it back.
And not just because of Mojang locking every account that shows even the slightest hint of having broken their EULA...
On top of it being unstable, and not wanting to host unstable business on our site..

Accounts are mojang's property, and they obviously care about their accounts being jacked and traded around like cookies.
They made an EULA to protect themselves from this activity.
They hired staff to enforce it.
It's mojang's game, and they have every right to be locking accounts.
If you ever become a content creator and provider like mojang, you'll expect the same respect.
They care.
You have no right.

It's also immoral to the people who bought the game..
The account trading business...
Nearly every OG seller got their OGs by getting an unmigrated minecraft account that was stolen from someone else, and sniping an name with it. Or buying an account from someone else who did just that.
Event accounts that weren't stolen from the original owner, they'll get their names from an account that was stolen, and had it's name changed. The whole business is messed up.
As much as all the account sellers out there want to convince you, and themselves, that their accounts are cruelty free... There are very very few.

Also, how can you guys "disagree" to me agreeing that you are right? WTF is life[DOUBLEPOST=1460001756][/DOUBLEPOST]I literally got 2 "disagrees" on me saying you guys are right LMAO

I see many flaws with this system but I'll go ahead and address a few.
I have thought of a new system that would make scamming go to 0%

Getting scamming to 0% is impossible. It's the same as if the government claims "we found a system for criminality to go down to 0%". It's simply not possible.

Scamming will always exist in the world, especially on the internet where people consider it less a crime while it's actually not.

it would have a "fill in the blank".
What you would have to fill in is, the username/email and password for the account you are selling.

I don't think players would be comfortable of storing their account on our forum. Let's also keep in mind, we'd have to keep plain passwords stored in our database if we want to somehow use it later.

MCM could have a system that checks the accounts for authenticity.

I assume using the account info you entered above?
If you think it's that easy to create such a system, you're wrong.

This system for selling accounts would fix all the problems MCM has with scamming,

As stated above, there's no fix for all scams. It's literally impossible.

Thread archived as this system isn't effective and definitely not that simple as you think.

Development behind this would also cost thousands. I wouldn't mind investing thousands if it actually resolves scamming but in this case it doesn't.
