You there!

I'm Thomas, the team manager for the Mutinies Network. Our network is currently looking to bring aboard talented developers to create new content for the server, as well as contribute to existing projects.

We seek developers who are familiar with two or more of the following:
  • Core Computer Science Concepts
  • Java
  • Bukkit API
  • Web Front End
  • SQL Database Design and Maintenance
Mutinies is already a semi-established server network, aiming to grow significantly in the future. We recently released our first beta minigame in conjunction with the initial server launch, which attracted 100 players directly at the time of launch, 200 into the community discord prior to launch, and has now hit 1000 unique player joins. However, our team is ambitious, and always looking to tackle new projects – and the community, of course, is always craving fresh material and gamemodes to explore!

That is where you come. We need to bring on some new developers in order to help us dive into our various newest ideas. Our 19 staff members decided to join us not because of money, but because of the plentiful opportunities this project provides. I’m talking to you, reading this now. If you have a specific interest in a topic related to some kind of development, you will be surrounded by smart and knowledgeable developers who can collaborate with you on exploring your ideas. One of our developers has 5 years of experience with the Bukkit API, another has 10 years working with backend programming, and another is finishing a degree in Computer Science at the University of Washington. If you apply to develop for Mutinies, you give yourself the chance to work on a project with tremendous potential, and the chance to see your work loved by thousands down the line. You will give yourself the option to add a very special and unique job on your résumé. Almost above the others listed, you can become a part of a fun work environment and make new friends who share common interests.

The developers at Mutines enjoy a low-pressure and enjoyable environment. Our developers receive access to use our APIs (or improve them), as well as ssh access to our private dedicated development testing server. The management can also grant funding for premium software and other ventures if deemed necessary for development.

So if you're passionate about being a part of something bigger and have a bit of spare time lying around, or you are a bored developer with nothing to do this summer: We invite you to join us in being part of a project that is just beginning its uphill climb. If you are interested or have questions, please either contact me on Discord (Thomas#3147) or shoot me a PM.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

So what you're wanting is a developer that could work almost any other place and get at least $15/25+ an hour, but for free? If a developer was so passionate about making a server, why wouldn't he make his own server? And if you want a unique job on your resume, go out into the real world over the summer, and apply for a job that relates to computer programming. There are hundreds of listings a day for these types of jobs, you just got to research.

Everyone is welcome to do as they please. We are offering experience and a fun collaborative environment in which to work. You're right; there are many options, but not many like this. We have a professional workflow and a solid team, all while maintaining a low stakes environment. What we're doing is all for the enjoyment of our team, and that's what makes it great. This aims to be a comfortable and fun role to fill, something a person can do to test the waters as a developer or to take more seriously and invest their time in if they choose to do so. Another thing we have to offer is giving everyone a say in the direction of our project. Joining our team allows you to give your own input and see us all work together to bring it to life. It's quite gratifying to see your own ideas out in a production environment, with plenty of players enjoying what you made.

How does your developer have 8 years of experience with the Bukkit Api, if it was released in 2011?

That's a great question haha, must've been a miscommunication between myself, the owner, and that developer. Apologies, fixed now. Just asked him directly, he began in 2013, making it 5 years.
