Mutual Reputations

Hello,
My suggestion today will be expanding the Reputation System for it to display how many mutual reps you have with someone. This way it will be easier to check if someone have been working with people you have worked with.

If you're saying Neutral Reputation is the same thing you didn't understand my idea. I don't know how many of you have Facebook because it's kinda dead but I was talking about something similar to the Mutual Friend system they have but for reputation.

but the thing is, there is no point in mutual rep. what are you goin to say? person is decent haven't dealt with? either you're positive or negative with them or haven't dealt. mutual rep would pretty much be offensive to get after a deal and if you really want to tell people you know you appreciate them then just vouch their thread.

I agree that this can take hours of development and doesn't worth the effort, but this is just a suggestion, they decide if they take it or not at the end.

You know how discord has mutual friends, think about mutual rep is essentially the same idea. Seems like an okay idea but the development involved doesn't seem worth it.

so what would be the point in seeing rep you have in common

Not sure, but that's what the op is suggesting.

It's useful when you want to know if the other person you are negotiating with has ever dealt with someone that you have dealt with, this way you know you can contact the guy you both worked with and ask for an opinion about the person.

Is it that hard to go to someone's profile, click "Reputation" then click "Reputation Overview" to view them all? Look at the rep you sent out and compare it to the reputation of someone else. A little time consuming, but this suggestion is not necessary.

As I said, it's probably not going to get approved but it will make it easier.

I think that what you're asking for is more of a friends system where you can request and accept people for being your friends, but I don't see what point there is to a system like that and how it could be beneficial to users.
