My dad bought a Qnap server which has 4 bays and has a 3TB storage already in it. We're getting rid of our old DVDs and redownloading it on our server, and I was wondering if there were different ways to use it.
Whilst it is a server, I'm hoping to run a personal cloud for college and I was perhaps thinking off portforwarding it so I can have my custom cloud setup, so I can send files from college to the home server so I don't have to use other services or even a memory stick.
I was wondering if this was possible or if you can do other wacky stuff with these type of servers.
