When buying a domain and you go to the checkout you never really want to click the protection box for the extra $10 well I now would never purchase a domain without it here is why people can use sites all they have to enter is e.g "shitplex.com" then it will display the owner of the domains address email phone number ect from this people can call you up post you shit in the post order you takeaways you don't want and you will get banned from the takeaways around the area!

I'm pretty sure most people who have purchased domains know this already, I almost never buy a domain without buying privacy protection. Also if you get caught with a fake address, though it's unlikely to happen unless someone makes enough fuss about it, they can remove your domain and possibly deny you future services, it's against the rules of not only your registrar but ICANN as well.

I recommend namecheap.com, not only do they have pretty good prices + often sales, free privacy protection and they're just great overall. I've used them for almost all my domains.

If you really don't like using NameCheap for some reason you could always put fake information in for the domain/account.

This is the sort of mistake you make once, and never again. The part I hate most is that you can't read it from most host's terms of service that your info will be public. so it feels very much like a ripoff.
