I am curious what people think of a old project I did a while back (keep in mind it was never finished). It basically parsed a sentenced and found the verb and subject out of them. It even could find linking verbs and be smart enough to know what the real verb is. My plan was to make it have a "dictionary" of various sentences and what the corresponding subjects, verbs, etc are. It could then post sub-senteces showing correlation and respond with a intelligently-generated response. Therefore the idea would be before you to tell it a lot of sentences and it would slowly learn about each type of "verb" and be able to procedural respond based off its "dictionary". Eventually you would be able to have a full conversation with the bot.
What do you think? Its all a concept but I've successfully created a verb, linking verb, and subject parser.
