Sooo every time I start talking about one of my hobbies in the shoutbox, many of you have questions and wanted to see some stuff so I thought I'd show you!
So one of my hobbies is flying drones. I recently upgraded to a DJI Phantom 3 Advanced edition. These are very expensive but high quality piece of electronics.
The DJI Phantom 3 Advanced is packed with some cool features to ensure you don't fuck up your $1000 drone purchase, here are some I personally find cool.
Here's a small montage I just uploaded, see a list below of noteworthy content.
https://i.bebos.xyz/2n3u.mp4 - These are completely without filter. Everything you see is raw cut footage.
I have a lot more content but I felt like the little I uploaded is boring to watch.
Someone will eventually ask this:
The only reason why I bought this is because I run a small IT company and this was paid with the companies budget which makes it tax exempt.

- It has a live video feed on a device you hook up to your controller. This can be done with a Android or iOS device.
- If it loses signal with the controller, it will rely on GPS and fly back to the coordinates it took off on.
- The camera has a cool stabilizer. No matter what angle, the camera will always move smoothly and remain straight. This is one of it's main and most expensive features. With this kind of technology, the camera will remain stable and allow you for smooth shots, no matter what the conditions.
- The drone has several modes. One of them is GPS mode. Meaning, if you don't touch the controls, the drone will try to remain in the same position. So no matter if there's wind, it'll remain hovering on the same location.
- The camera records at 2.7k/12mp. The video gets cached on the mobile device in a lower quality. The full quality content gets stored on the SD card that you insert in the drone.
- The max speed is 16m/s or 60km/h (no wind). I usually easily hit 12m/s. This equals 35miles/h or 52feet/second
- The drone comes with 1 battery. 1 battery is good for roughly 20 minutes flying. I own 3 batteries. One costs €150.

- 0:20 - I almost hit power lines. These are very difficult to see on a ipad screen as they are tiny. As soon as I saw them, I tried to back off
- 0:43 - Zoom out of a big store.
- 1:26 - Cool fly over myself repeated by a zoom out.
- 3:00 - 400m height. This is illegal
but it gives a nice point of view so why not
I believe I lost signal at one point so the drone started descending to me.
