My response to the shoutbox issues

I'm going to address a few problems. Lately the shoutbox has been full of a bunch of prepubescent idiots who think they are libertarians fighting for freedom. Here is my response to your messages

"MCM is dying"
MCM is not dying. I have been here since November of 2014 and the one thing that has remained constant is the amount of people claiming MCM is dying. People have been claiming that MCM is dying since the beginning. Guess what? It's still not dead.

"I honestly think I am done with MCM"
Honestly? Nobody gives a shit. For one, you're not done and that is pretty obvious. When you repeat the same message claiming you are "probably" going to quit MCM 10 times within the hour it is pretty clear you're doing it for attention. If you really are done just leave. Don't make a scene.

"These chat box mods are terrible"
Are they really, or is that just your hate for authority? In my opinion, Doge was one of the most liked members here, but after his promotion a lot of people started to dislike him. Are their bans really unfair, or are you just looking for a reason to call them corrupt?

"Mick just hands out staff to anyone"
Obviously you're a little angry that you didn't get it and it is pretty clear you wish you were promoted. The real question is why? The chat box moderator rank is basically a way into manipulating you into working for free with power. You aren't getting paid so you're reduced to just a volunteer. By definition you aren't even staff.

Yeah maybe, but spamming it every 2 minutes isn't going to suddenly change things.

The problem is not the people in the current sb mod positions, it's just how they have handled a few of the problems that have occurred within the shout box. Like you said people like Doge are really nice and thoughtful and don't deserve to be harassed. I feel the implementation of the sb mods without a clear set of rules has caused all of this. I think the idea is noble, there should be mods, but I think the idea in the end has more negatives than positives. Hence I believe it should be removed. (maybe reimplemented at a later time). Also just being fair also mentioned by Coco These problems never occurred until the rank was implemented.

This website is honestly a very great one, the community is amazing. It's just that select few that cause these types of problems. I admire you for this post, I really do. So many insecure people on this website, that they have to call fair punishments abuse and corruption. thank you for this post!
