My server is CPU/Ram hungry help please

Hey i have a server with 5gb and 0.75 core not that much i knw but thats all i can afford
anyways the server when there is no players in it ram usage be 5% and core 3%
but when a player joins the usage becomes 35% and core 11% why are players taking so much ram and cpu usage

if storage needed i have 13gb i can add more

Are you running paper or spigot or maybe a mod pack?
I agree, your issue is likely caused by poorly optimized plugins or errors in configuration.
Is there any errors/warns in your console? Although it is sometimes impossible to remove all warns, you should be able to remove all errors.

1 Run paper thats the best and not that consuming (or get a custom jar) 2 get someone to optimize your server startup parameters that should also help

Run a timings report as well to help locate what's causing the sudden spikes and lag that may arise from players joining. This only works on spigot and paper btw and works best on paper.
