I've developed or helped develop many many successful MyBB forums, one of which were mine & I was able to obtain around $200 a month just from upgrades.
Had a successful website that is now down, I prefer not to name it though.
I'm sure jurhe d can vouch that I made a lot of profit whilst the site was in its prime.
