Name color preview

Before buying a name color in the "account upgrades" shop of forums you should be able to preview the color you are considering buying. This will boost sales as it will make people want to buy that color more after seeing how good it (may) look, and will produce more satisfaction with people who do end up purchasing a color because they know how its going to look with their profile picture. For example I currently have a purple pfp and was considering buying a purple name tag along with it but the purple looked too dark and the pink too light, but I may have ended up buying one of the two if I was able to see if it went well with my profile picture (I ended up buying green anyways).

It would balance out if anything, people see how good it looks and they want it more, or maybe how not attractive it is (which honestly that would be a lot fewer people).

Yes, my point is you should be able to see how it would look actually implemented. When you click the preview button your mini-profile (the display you get when you click on someones name or profile picture in a thread), pops up with the color you selected, so you can see wether or not you want it or prefer a different color.

Aren't you just able to say "hmm, I really do like the pink colour the most, I want that!". Getting something like this made custom makes no sense considering there is genuinely no reason for it that I could imagine. If you really want to see how the colour looks on you for some reason you can feel free to inspect element your name into it like someone said above.

Yeah, I simply don't see it as a feature that would be useful, especially considering that it would have to be custom developed.
