I might transfer my domains to someone else for the meantime because I don't want to loose them.
I'm considering switching to Cloudflare as my registrar as well as it would be cheaper for me to do so and I already have my name servers with them. Any recommendations on this? Do they have these same rules?

How did they find out your real age? I have well over $100 in registered domains, I don't think I've ever had to prove my given birth date.

They probably didn't find out their real age, they probably had suspicions or it was picked up by an automated system which then meant that they required manual verification from the user that they are of the age to be using the service.
