Assuming you are content using a pc and want to build one (although I doubt you would be able to get a mac for $500 lol) what are you going to be using it for? Just gaming?

Anything else you want to achieve with the computer? Or just Minecraft/Games?

If you are planning on building a PC, I will be able to create a parts list for you within your budget! If you are looking to buy a prebuilt, I can also help you find that! :)

I understand that you want a minimum of 150 FPS within Minecraft on fully maxed settings? Are there any other games that you would like to play?

Do you need any peripherals? Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor, Headphones, or Speakers?

Am I assuming a copy of Windows (10?) must be included with the price?

Once you have answered these questions, I will be able to find you the best setup for your needs! :D

Since all you want to do is play Minecraft/Games the main thing you are looking for in a computer is a decent/powerful graphics card, as long as the other components are sufficient you should be good.

Here is a build I put together for you: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WJNXYr

It fits well under your $500 budget, but doesn't include a case, all you really need in a case is something that you like the 'look' of, although its definitely worth checking with someone who knows what they are doing, since case quality can vary a lot even in similar price ranges.

Also note that this is just the PC, and doesn't include anything related like the Windows OS or peripherals (Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor etc).

Although this isn't a bad build, its a good start. I would advise asking peoples opinions on it to see what improvements you could make.

This parts list includes Windows 10 but no other peripherals; I will be making a separate parts list soon with everything.

To get Windows 10 for ~$30 get it on Kinguin,

This build should be able to run Minecraft at max settings with 150+ fps.[DOUBLEPOST=1480297229][/DOUBLEPOST]This is an alternate build. Personally due to the pricing on the previous parts list I cannot recommend it. I managed to find some great deals within it.

Due to the integrated graphics and fast memory the APU is more than capable to run Minecraft and other games very smoothly.

This includes everything needed to get up and running in no time! I have added a monitor, keyboard, mouse and a copy of Windows while still maintaining to stay within your budget (after mail-in rebates).[DOUBLEPOST=1480297622][/DOUBLEPOST]If you have any further questions feel free to ask! I would be more than willing to help you :)
