I'm being serious right now, I have a $0 budget. So any tips on how to attract a lot of players? (except for advertising on Minecraft Forums/PlanetMinecraft)

Giving away stuff will get players to keep coming back, but at the cost of receiving donations. If you give out things, make sure it's very seldom or you might find yourself with a different problem on your hands.

You should also make sure that you add your server to as many server list websites as possible, a few that get forgotten are www.minetrack.net, www.mcserverland.com, www.serverpact.com It's free and gets you a ton of exposure! Also, mcserverland has a premium slot feature for $0.50 a day! That's actually pretty cheap when you think about it...
