Need advice on what to do

So essentially I hired someone to make me a server setup.
I paid him 50% so far.
He hasn't been active on his own server ( 100-200pb) from what I was told by staff, he is a day late on turning grace period off on his own server.
He hasn't been on here or spigot for the past 5 days
My setup was due last Friday, and I still have no received it, nor have I got a reply.

This is guys server is quite good, which is why I hired him, so that my server can be on par.

I don't know what to do.
I have these two options in mind:
1. just wait and hope till he has finished it in the next day or so
2. chargeback and hire someone else (i paid g and s, so that's not an issue)

Hopefully someone can give me some advice please : )

Ask the administration to do it, because they offered to do it for free. Then focus on either charging back or opening a scam report.

I've been in similar situations with designers. I try to work with people as long as they explain why they're past the deadline and have a valid excuse. If the guy is just ghosting you, open a dispute and let it play out. He may reply, he may not, and you have the option to close the dispute when he gets back to you. Either way, get your money back if he's overdue and failed to produce with no communication.
