Hello everyone,

I'm going to make this short and simple, nothing fancy. So I'm starting to sell Minecraft builds of Faction spawns, Skywars maps, etc. etc. and I need advice on how I can avoid chargebacks (if the person charges back, of course).

Here's my situation: Me and my cousin are working on a HUGE Factions map, about 180x180+. It'll take us about a week and we are selling it for a considerable price, about $60. The map is ALL custom, it's not an average Factions map. Here are some screenshots (it isn't completely done yet):

As you can see it's massive, not a traditional spawn. And of course it's not near completion, it'll take a few good more days and hours of work.

My question for advice is:
How do I take the money safely, proof in case he charges back later on? If he charges back, I want to be prepared (I'm new, I've never done this).

Thank you everyone!

Make sure in your terms of service that they must send the money as friends and family.

Also say in your terms and services that there are no refunds as long as they buy what they pay for.

Force them to send as friends and family.
If they dont want to, write in you T.O.S that chargebacks are not allowed.
Make sure that the buyer agree to the T.O.S.
Then, if he chargeback, show the proof of your TOS and a proof of him that he agreed to them to paypal, and done!
Just hope that paypal wont be stupid as always and go with his favor.

Thank you for the advice! And everyone else as well. Just one last question, how do I make a T.O.S.? Is there anyway to make it official? Or do I just tell him my T.O.S.?

Just confused on where to tell him the T.O.S., essentially.

Thank you so much everyone!

Just tell them it, and ask them if they agree with the TOS

you could set up a shop like whmcs to sell the files.
this in turn will make it harder to do chargeback requests because you are then under seller protection.
the down side is you will get charged a small fee for the use of paypal as a gateway for selling goods or services.
another way to do this is also send a invoice for goods or services (still small fee applies) that way they cannot just send money as a friend and then chargeback. I know from experience because ive had a chargeback scam pulled on me back when i used to manually sell donator ranks (Pre-EULA)

Just write it on your thread.

If you want to make the TOS agreement clear, send it to him on skype, then ask him if he agrees to the TOS.
If he agrees, GG and deal, and if he dont, then NO DEAL. :)

Thank you guys for all the help!! HIGHLY appreciated.[DOUBLEPOST=1465413009][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, one last thing...

Since I'm a new builder, what should my T.O.S. look like? Such as, every Terms of Service that should be a MUST for me to keep and notify the buyer.

Thanks!!

Um, just have a numbered list of what they should and should not do.

I would suggest using this:
1. You are not allowed to chargeback for any reason
2. You are not allowed to ask for a refund.
3. Once sold, I am no longer responsible for anything will happen to it.
4. I may change the price without any warning.

Thanks man! I'll be sure to include this in my T.O.S., and before I sell him my map, I'm going to make sure he agrees to it by PMs. Thanks again!
