Need help with domain.

Can someone explane me how to get a custom doman for a minecraft server like example.com.I need a cheap one like max $2/month.

-Go to a domain registrar and buy a domain, Namecheap sells .xyz for 15c/year atm but you can use any registrar you want with any domain within your price range, just recommending
-Use the domain registrar's control panel to point the domain to the IP of your MC server (if your MC server has a dedicated IP, you can set up an A record that points to that IP, if your MC server's IP has a port look up how to set up an MC SRV record)
-Wait for the DNS records to propagate (couple hours)
Your domain now goes to your MC server.

I dont think ive ever seen a site, that allows you to get a domain, for $2 a month. If you want a .xyz domain that would be only $1 for a full year. If you need help setting it up, PM me.

Where can you get a .com for $2 a year? I've found .coms minimum $10 a year but I'm new to this so I'm probably missing something.

Ive seen a few sites before, cant remeber where though. The price often skyrockets after the first year though.

There's a godaddy link from Canada that gives you a 0.99 domain for the whole year.

Don't go with GoDaddy, it might be $0.99 for the first year, then something like $20+ for the next year. Its a ripoff, go with NameCheap.

In answer to your question, once you have your domain, you need to point it to your Minecraft Server IP Address (the number) with a A (DNS) Record, if you don't have a 25565 port then you need to put the port at the end, Example: Example.com:12345

If you have a 25565 port then you don't need to do anything else.
