Request to return it on eBay. If that option isn't available then you're out of luck. I would just try reselling it if that was the case.
You should make sure its compatible next time. Use a website like pcpartpicker.com
I bought a kingston 4gb 2rx4 pc2-5300f-555-11-e0 and it won't fit in my motherboard.

I have a MSI P6NGM-FD (MS-7366) motherboard and my memory slot is DDR2 SDRAM (DDR2 DIMM)

you have to return that stick to the seller, it wont work with your motherboard . if you want to buy correct ram stick you have to take out one you already have and check the exact model, then buy that model from ebay.

Are there any adapters for rams?

are you lining it with the slot correctly, is there locks on the ends of the slot, that looks correct if your specs aren't wrong

No. You bought the wrong RAM. It's not going to work.
Return it. If they don't allow that - then don't make the same mistake again.

I did a similar thing a while back. I had an old PC, and bought some new DDR4 RAM to up my RAM. Unfortunately, my motherboard had DDR3 RAM slots.
I kept it, and later used the DDR4 8GB as extra RAM in my new PC, but I think in your case, reselling it is your best shot.
