Need help with paper spigot 1.8.8

Hello,
I have been having troubles with getting 1.7 to run on my paper spigot 1.8.8 server, protocol support is not working, and some people have told me that you need specific versions/combinations. Could anyone help me with this?

Hey dude! Make sure you're using the version that works for 1.8.8 which can be obtained through this link: Download (Not sure if i'm allowed to post links). But if you're worried about that being a virus or something, just browse through the version history of protocol support and pick the one that has the version of 4.22.1

If you still encounter the problem, I would suggest posting a pastebin of your console errors if there are any and the plugins you are using.
