for some reason when i look at this i feel warm and cozy and happy. 10/10 imo

Design is fine. To spice up your website I'd suggest something to catch the eye like animating/gif the centered logo to be hand written as thats the font style.

I believe the copyright sign is there to indicate/emphasize they are 503c non profit.

Yeah I’ve gotten complaints about this. This will be changed in the final copy. That was only the first design.
