Need some help w/ stagnant custom network

Hello everyone,

I'm currently facing a huge conundrum w/ my network. It's fully custom, coded by a bud of mine and me, we've made 3 gamemodes. The first one is an arena style ability induced pvp gamemode w/ skills from league of legends, and overwatch. The second is a game based off of H1Z1 and DayZ. The third is UHC Blitz, rumored by hypixel back in 2014. I've already spent about ~$1400 on the network and really haven't gotten much in return but a 100 player discord and have a couple of big youtubers who are awaiting me to give them a time for a video and a livestream. My main goal w/ the network was to just get a PB (player base) of at least 20 people, and a steady income to pay for the server bills.

Things I've done (how much i've spent and how):
Server Payments: ~$500-600 in total
TopG 15 day: $300
Youtube: $400

With some advertising the server peaked at 56 players, had two livestreams from youtubers for 1.5 hours. Now it averages 0-2 players, lol.


I'm wondering what i'm doing wrong here and how I can better improve my network. Thanks!

Nowadays $400 is no where near what is needed for youtube advertisement. I would reocomend getting some larger youtubers to play.
Yeah, I mean at the time by budget was $1,000. I have some big yt's as contacts, though they just got signed to a network, so my dream of getting a media owernship is done. As i've been told w/ custom networks media ownership is the way to go.
