Pretty much for my birthday I’ve saved up some money and I want to buy a new pc. My parents asked what I wanted. I checked for a i9-9900x and I can’t tell the difference between these twoCause one is half the cost of the other

Also, on another note, is a GTX 670 good? My friend has an old one he wants to give to me

Edit: made this please check it out https://www.amazon.ca/hz/wishlist/ls/33P5GG0FIV0WM?ref_=wl_share

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I don’t even know where to start...
The motherboard doesn’t support the CPU you have chosen.
If you get a GTX 670 then it will seriously bottleneck the CPU.
The RAM isn’t compatible with neither the CPU or the motherboard.
WTF is that cooler?

Now to fix these issues.
Firstly, use a better site: https://pcpartpicker.com/

Don’t get an i9-9900X, go for the i9-9900K if anything.

Get like a GTX 1070 Ti or if you can spend more money, a GTX 1080 Ti.

Get a motherboard which is actually compatible with the CPU’s socket type. The website I linked above will tell you if parts are incompatible.

Get at least 16GB of DDR4 RAM, what the fuck are you doing spending over $1,000 on a CPU and only getting 8GB of RAM??

Get water cooling or don’t get an overclockable CPU (CPUs with a K next to the number), as simple as that.

You need a power supply to power your computer??

You need storage to store things on your computer...

That’s pretty much all, if I realised something later on I’ll edit this post.

Lol. Yeah I'd probably switch that to an i7 to save money :p

In terms of graphics card, you might not want to put that old of a gpu with that new of a cpu. It would just seem weird. Better to buy a more updated one.

Your motherboard isn't compatible with Intel cpus. You need one that supports LGA 1151 socket. It also supports DDR4 Ram while the one you chose is DDR3.

Head over to pcpartpicker and it'll tell you any problems that you might encounter trying to build it before you purchase.[DOUBLEPOST=1559738291][/DOUBLEPOST]
