I would recommend not just watching one persons tutorials, especially if you don't have your own style kind of developed. If one person tends to approach something with the same style constantly and that's all you're watching you're only going to know that style. In my opinions it's best to breach out, watch many different youtubers and tutorials. This way you can observe many different styles and develop your own style. Watching speedarts can also be helpful.https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=minecraft+graphics+tutorial
Watch the first couple that came up, find a guy who does tutorials frequently and stick with him. Or just watch the videos that come up and learn the different styles or whatever.
And if you find a guy who consistently does tutorials, watch his more advanced videos once you have the basics down.
Exactly what I was getting atIf you're NEVER making mistakes you're probably playing it too safe.

As a smart person once said "you learn from your mistakes"
Give it as many shots as you can, and want to. You will slowly get better..
A Good idea is to get some nice Fonts. and work out what colours go nice with each other <--- An amazing Idea.
However at the same time, making random things can show you're learning and capable. Also, doing Vouch copys are also a nice way of doing things as well. As you learn and you also get Vouches.
Anyway,
Many thanks,
