Hey there people of MCM.

Recently the reputation system has been "revamped"
I think that the reputation system is good the way it is right now, but without the part where you have to upload a file as proof of a successful deal. There's literally no way to upload a picture or a file that shows proof of a successful deal, as it could be private information or one of us saying something random in DM, so I think it should be removed. In the deals that I've partaken in since the reputation update, I've been leaving random screenshots such as a screenshot of the other users profile.

Thanks for reading.

How is it hard to get one or more screenshots of a successful deal?
Just something that will be easy to fix and make people happy.
Also it's kinda useless

It's pretty useless, especially on smaller deals. Nearly all of the information I could include, I would not want to share out of courtesy to the other party.

It really doesn't add anything to it.

That doesn't answer the question. You said it's hard to get evidence of a successful deal. How is it hard?
It's very easy to do it.

Press "PrntScr" on the keyboard, go to imgur, click "new post" then press control+v on the keyboard.
It's hard because there's nothing to screenshot, It'll either be a useless message of you or the other person saying some random stuff in PMs or it's private information. Just like what Skylord said.

It's not hard. What you're going for is more so it being "useless", but how is it useless? It's merely showing proof that you dealt with the user and that it went good.

If there's private information, such as login information, you can simply mark or blur it out.
Blurring it out will take even more time on something that shouldn't take that long to do.

It's a good option. Not a good requirement.

It just makes adding reputation a chore.

Use ShareX and save the image to your computer, case closed. Reputation shouldn't be disposable and this helps it give meaning.

I've been leaving random screenshots such as a screenshot of the other users profile or any random picture I had on my computer.
Refer to rule:
9.1.1 Do not make any claims within your review which you are not also providing conclusive evidence to prove.

If you are doing this, you will be issued warning points, and all of the feedback you’ve submitted in which you've violated this rule will be removed. I suggest fixing your uploads immediately.

If you don’t have any evidence to upload, then you probably don’t have anything worth saying.
The feedback system is a privilege, not a right, and our policies are here to ensure that the system is being used in a manner which is most beneficial to the entire community. Not what enables carelessness and laziness.

If you see anyone leave feedback on yourself which violates this rule, and you would not like their review of you to be removed, point out that they need to provide evidence for their claims.

This has been suggested a few times since the implementation of this change and denied each time. With the previous system proof was still required if your reputation was disputed, which was a problem because people wouldn't keep proof of a deal that was done 6 months ago. Now the proof is always linked with your reputation.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
