READ THE REQUIREMENTS BEFORE APPLYING! IF YOU DO NOT FILL THEM THEN PLEASE DO NOT APPLY!

Hello! My name is Jack Cosens and I am the Founder and CEO of The AJGaming Network. Before I state my offer and who I am recruiting on this platform I am going to tell you a little bit about myself, what we do and how we like to do it.

AJGaming is a multi-media gaming network. We started off by running an individual modded server and modpack and since then it has grown out into one of the most successful non-pixelmon based modded servers. We take pride in offering a large amount of options to players within our network this includes a large variety of custom modpacks from ver 1.7.10-1.12.2 as well as a Creative and Survival server (soon to be skyblock).

I wont be the first to admit that our system is incredibly messy. Our network consists of 2 x64GB 8 Core machines linked in using a platform called Pterodactyl. Within this we use a 3 proxy setup with RedisBungee links to account for our mass version coverage with modded support, it will take time to adapt to our setup but it is possible.

Our stats:
AJGaming has been up for 2 years now and over this time we have managed to gain:
- 2 Modpacks with 800,000 runs and 100,000 installs
- ~ 50 Regular players in the week
- 100+ Player peak at weekends
- 26 member staff team
- 70+ Daily voters (avg.)

You can view our website here: https://AJGaming.net
and you can view our stats on Minecraft Servers here: https://minecraftservers.org/server/418889

What are we looking for?
  • A high quality worker that is not looking to be in-on the project for just the money but instead has a passion towards the growth and development of our community.
  • Someone that can do well under a high load of pressure.
  • Someone who can listen to the community and adapt depending on their responses.
  • Someone that is able to have days of work denied and start from the beginning (resilience in jobs)
  • Someone who can make rational decisions and follow/adapt to the chain of command appropriately.
Our Requirements:
  • You must be at least 17 years or older. NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • You must have the knowledge in how to create modpacks used on the technic launcher, debug mod based issues and have a knowledge in some of the larger mods (ArsMagica, BloodMagic, Mekanism, Chisel)
  • You must have time to dedicate towards the project. We are going to be expecting 20+ hours a week
  • You must have a functional microphone and a discord account
  • You must have a CV and good reputation
  • You must be able to talk fluent English without a compromising accent
Things that we would like (Not Required):
  • Someone who knows how to code in a language (Weather this be Java, C#, JavaScript, etc).
  • Someone who has worked for a large company or network before.
  • Someone that has experience with RedisBungee and Advanced LuckPerms setups

What will you be doing?
You will be given one of the highest ranks within the ladder, you will be working on updating, fixing and maintaining a variety of modded servers and modpacks (5+). You will be working closely with the Owners and current Network Manager to review and implement new features requested by players and staff members. You will be helping to develop and create new modpacks and vanilla based servers.

Interested - How to apply?
First you are going to need a detailed CV (like if this was a job), once you have one of these written up you are going to want to email this as an attachment to [email protected]. Please make sure to include a form of contact (Discord please) and put the words "MCM-APPLY" in the subject box somewhere so we can find this email. If you do not receive a reply within 2 weeks then you have not been accepted.

Pay will be spoken about on an individual basis. Right now we are looking for a volunteer based role which will take on possible pay in the future when the network isn't in such a futile state of development and growth.

Vouch, nice guy.

Would apply, but I am not really experience with those mods.

I also find it funny cause you just ripped like 95% of this community who are gonna attempt to apply.

This position is something that would take a normal user 2+ years to gain the role. I am putting someone in a very trust based position and I need to be assured that they know what they are doing at all moments in time.

Sorry you couldn't apply but thanks for the vouch :D

Not interested in this position but you're looking for a developer, not a manager.

I suggest posting this on your server's forum. Most people are here to gain money, and the chance of you finding a good admin here is low. Not only that, but I also won't suggest giving ranks to people that haven't worked for a rank, even if they are highly skilled. This is because you probably won't have a contract with them, and they could damage your network.

This is a rule that I employ and that is usually true:
Don't go searching for people to join your company/network/staff team/etc. Let them search for you. This is because people who you ask to join will take advantage of your position and the fact that you want them as a part of your team. If somebody contacts you and tells you that he wants to help your network; the most probably is going to want that, and will do anything to make his idea a reality.

This is something that happened to the network I work for a while ago
We invited a guy that recently got kicked from a rival Minecraft community as an operator (he didn't have OP yet), and he slowly advanced through the ranks to be an administrator, and even get access to all the 11 dedicated servers we had back then. He helped us work on an update we had planned for winter. We released the server, and a couple of days after we got it stable (we had a developer with really bad coding experience. He got things done...with 10 tps as a result), the guy deleted all our servers and gave access to some friends he had in order for them to help him delete things. After they finished, they also launched several DDOS attacks, but OVH quickly stopped the servers due to their firewall. We had a quite large loss, and it took us 5 days to get back to where we were before.
What I'm trying to say here is that when you ask somebody to join your community, he will have the upper advantage because you need him. When somebody asks you if they can join, then you get the upper advantage because they need you.
